Beware of the mooon.
The
Legend of The Westend Werewolf is the second installment of improvised
Halloween specials. Just as The Lost Girls, it was shot with a handheld
night vision camera and later tinted blue. A subversion of werewolf
films in general, and John Landis An American Werewolf in
London in particular, Westend Werewolf was entirely improvised.
In pseudo-documentary style, both The Lost Girls and Westend Werewolf
feature actors playing themselves in their ordinary lives, but extraordinary
situations. Without a script, storyboards, crew or trained actors,
Westend Werewolf was born over the course of one day and four nights
in September 2002.
