and Deniz from the German Soap "Alles was zählt"
(All you need) The soap deals with the coming out
of Deniz, a young Turkish hockey player. He gets to
know Roman a German figure skater and realizes that
he's gay.
While
LGBT characters are common on German television, AWZ
marks a first by dealing with the coming out of a
young Turkish boy, Deniz. Originally written as straight
and the show's young 'macho' character, but after
he gets to know Roman he has to deal with his sexuality.
