Les
Chanson D' Amour by Christophe Honore. Ismaël
finds himself stalked by Erwann, an enthusiastic young
gay Breton college student. The two men fall into
a sweetly romantic and sexy entanglement, much to
Ismaël’s surprise.
This
is just one scene from the 2007 film "Les Chansons
D' Amour" about three lovers living in Paris.
The film is divided in the three parts “the
departure,” “the absence” and “the
return”.
The actors sing their lines and the songs, which are
frequent and unannounced, are full of wonderful observations
about love, family, death and Paris itself.
It
was an Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival
nominated for the Golden Palm.
It
has just been released in December to theaters in
the U.K. and will have a limited release in the U.S.
starting March 18 2008.
