The
two men become embroiled in a secret love affair,
but such forbidden love cannot go unpunished in fascist
circles. However, despite all the rules forbidding
it, the love and sexual attraction between the two
men is so strong that they cannot abandon their affair.
Brotherhood,
the debut feature from a former fashion photographer
turned filmmaker,Nicolo Donato has won the top prize
at the Rome International Film Festival.
After directing music videos, commercials and several
short films, the Danish-Italian director made his
feature-length debut with Brotherhood.
Winner
of the festival's Golden Marc'Aurelio Jury Award for
2009, the film explores a surprising love affair that
develops between two men who are members of a violent
neo-Nazi group.
